New Delhi World Book Fair 2019 is all set to begin from 5 January 2019 and it will last up to 13 January 2019. This year, the event is covered in less area as compared to previous year’s event due to redevelopment of Pragati Maidan. Pragati Maidan book fair is one of the most happening event of Pragati Maidan after the trade fair. Every book lover of Delhi and nearby are are waiting for this 9 day long event. This year, tickets prices of the fair are cheaper as compared to previous year. Central Minister Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate the event.
Two book fairs are organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. One is organized in the month of August-September, which held in small level as compared to this fair. New Delhi World Book Fair is known as NDWBF in short and it is Asia’s largest book fair. Publishers from around the world took participation in this fair. At this fair more than 800 publishers of India are taking part. 40 countries are are also taking part in the fair including Pakistan.
Pragati Maidan Book Fair 2019 Dates and Timings
Dates for New Delhi World Book Fair are 5 January 2019 to 13 January 2019. Timings of the fair are from 11 AM to 8 PM everyday. This event will run for total 9 days in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. Try to reach the venue early to avoid long queue and crowd.

Book fair tickets are more affordable so that all the book lovers can choose and buy their favorite from 1300 counters of book fair. More than 700 publishers are taking part in the fair. Book Fair Ticket rates are:

Tickets are available from 50 metro stations of Delhi metro. Visitors can also buy Delhi Book fair tickets online from the ITPO official website. Tickets are also available on the Pragati Maidan ticket counter No. 1 and 10.

World Book Fair Facilities and General Information
All the basic facilities are available inside the stadium for the visitors like drinking water, washroom, etc. Multiple camera’s are installed inside the complex for the safety and security for the visitors. Entry in the fair is allowed from the gate no. 1, 8 and 10. Wheel chair facility is available from gate no.1 of Pragati Maidan complex. Pragati Maidan metro station of Blue line is the nearest metro station near the event. Vehicles can be parked at Bhairon road. Shuttle service from the parking area to the venue will be available for the visitors. An ATM van will be available at near Hall no. 7.
